Welcome to the Volunteer Page of the LFA PTA! We believe that a vibrant and engaged community plays a pivotal role in nurturing the educational journey of our students. We invite you to join us in making a difference and creating a positive impact on the lives of our children.

By volunteering with the PTA, you have the opportunity to contribute your unique skills, talents, and passion towards enhancing their educational experience. Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for a meaningful way to connect with our school community, we wholeheartedly encourage you to become a PTA volunteer. Together, we can create an environment where our children can thrive, learn, and grow.

Most of the roles and opportunities listed below can be done remotely, and flexibly.

High Commitment

(~1 hour a week, possibly going up to 2 hours during busy times of the year)

Here are the roles we currently need help with:

Please email us at chair.lfa.pta@gmail.com to let us know if you are interested or have any questions.

Low-Medium Commitment

(~1 hour a week but only for a 4-6 week period in the run up to an event)

  • Class reps (note that these are generally selected at the start of the school year but there may be instances where not all class rep roles have been filled, so please let us know your interest)
  • Helping with one-off events:
If you are looking for something short term, please sign up to the event groups on ClassList when they are created. Events like the Christmas Fete and Summer Fayre will require a team of parents to help make it a success, and there will be a wide variety of tasks that need doing each with different levels of commitment.

Low Commitment

(~1 hour a couple of times a year)

If you are looking for more ad-hoc opportunities, we can always use a helping hand with the activities below to make lighter work of the organisation, set-up, clear-down. Please email us at chair.lfa.pta@gmail.com to register your interest.

  • Second-hand uniform sale
  • Coffee mornings
  • Sports day (we usually sell drinks and snacks to parents watching)
  • After-school summer sales such as Popcorn Fridays

And if none of these sound tempting, Class Reps will send out requests for on-the-day volunteers prior to events, who can help run a stall for 30-60 minute time slots.

Finally, if you aren’t able to volunteer at this time, please do attend the PTA events, and help spread the word!
